Brian Morris' Rebuttal of Dissmisal by Family Housing Association (Wales)

From the beginning of my employment I have been treated unjustly by Senior Management
Senior management's main complaint against me, is that I question their decisions, or working practices.
I have only questioned , when I found their decisions or working practices either:
Immoral, Illegal, or a threat to the Health and Safety of myself, colleagues, public or the environment.
The main issues were:

Working Practices.
In my first year of employment, all of FHA staff  were instructed in the concept of  best value. The organization of the caretaking department is contrary
to that belief. Due to self interest, laziness or possibly other insidious reasons of senior management.

Environment
FHA advocates strongly about recycling in their newsletters to tenants , Yet when I objected to dumping grass in land filled sites. I was castigated by senior management.

Equipment
I complained regularly about the poor condition of the equipment, strimmers, lawn mowers etc, which have never been serviced in the 5 years of my employment.  I have since learnt, that this is contrary to Government Regulations, and the symptoms I am suffering with HAVS( white finger) is due to the badly
maintained.equipment, and lack of monitoring of the staff's use of vibratory equipment.

Pesticides Spraying
I objected against this as we were not properly equipped and ill prepared, and  there was no real  need to do it.
In the last two weeks,  (Christmas 2006) I have been horrified to find  that the herbicide we sprayed in public areas is possibly cancerous and is banned in Denmark and Norway.
