Dear Mr Thomas,

Re: Vacancy at Cwmdu Close

I wish to transfer to Cwmdu Close because:

Although, I am still diligently mopping the floors at Exchange Court, after working here for 2years 7 months,
all I have to show, is a cleaner floor, which does not fill me with happiness or fulfilment,
I just find it boring and devoid of any stimulation.

Since I resigned from the civil service when I was 23 years old, I have been self employed, and worked outdoors,
 mostly in a manual capacity. I enjoy physical work. I believe being active keeps you healthier;
I have not taken a day off sick, since being employed with FHA.
I look forward, to the three days I am out working with the boys.

Being resident at Cwmdu means I would enjoy working for 5 days,
there appears to be enough lawn area to keep me physically busy
and enough plants and shrubs to stimulate my thirst for challenge and knowledge.

It is frustrating, to keep reading books etc on gardening, and not be able to implement what I am learning.
What about the rota sites? You may ask…. Huh, it is comparable, to reading “The Joy of Sex,”
and then trying to implement what you’ve learnt, on a Viking (rape and pillage) raid!
You simply do not have the time.

With the sole control of the site, you should have the time and freedom,
to develop it hopefully, into a site to be admired.

I am in this employment, because it is what I choose and I wish to remain,
not as a “stop gap job” or “can’t get a better job”, therefore I can bring a bit of stability to the site.

Another very important reason for transferring to Cwmdu is the proximity of my three children,
(Ashley wrote this: I hope he gets the job because then we can see him more),
they are at an important time in their schooling, aged 11 and 13,
so after school, they can easily pop over to ask me for any help they may need with their school work.
I am especially qualified to help them in mathematics and physics as I attained “A levels” in these subjects in 1965,
and then studied for a degree in Applied Physics at Portsmouth.
It would be crime if they were denied this opportunity.

Yours truly,
Brian Morris
